These are the Official Rules for the Surfing Pig’s Wildwood’s Greatest Treasure Hunt (“Promotion”).

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  MAKING A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE THE ODDS OF WINNING.

 

Eligibility

The Promotion is open to legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia, except where prohibited, who are 21 years of age or older.

No Surfing Pig supplier, wholesaler, distributor or retailer, or affiliates, employees or member of the immediate family or household of any such persons or entities shall not be eligible to participate in the Promotion.  

The Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

 

How to Enter and Contest Explanation

The Contest begins on August 1, 2023 and ends on August 31, 2023 (“Promotion Period”).  

During the Promotion Period a box with a red “X” and Key inside (the “Key”) that opens a treasure chest will be hidden in Wildwood Crest, North Wildwood, or Wildwood.  During the Promotion Period a representative of the Surfing Pig will release clues that aid in identifying the location of the Key, said clues will be released in the sole discretion of the Surfing Pig.  The individual who locates the key is required to call the phone number located thereon, and upon confirmation by the Surfing Pig of the Key’s location, the individual who has located said Key will be the Winner entitled to the Prize, as set forth below.

 

NOTE: The location of the Key will be on public property and will not require any digging, moving of any objects, or disturbing any property. No tools will be required to find or remove the Key from its hidden location, and it will be located in an area that is accessible to the public at eye level or below.  Any and all signage and laws shall be obeyed in searching for the Key. The container will have a Red “X” on the outside to identify it as the actual Key.  When opened it will contain a symbolic Key along with a note with instructions to contact the Surfing Pig representative.  Any destruction of property or violation of the rules set forth herein or any law while searching for the Key shall automatically disqualify an individual from participation in the Promotion.   

 

The Surfing Pig and its owners/employees will not be responsible for errors in the Official Rules or in any related ads or materials. Surfing Pig reserves the right to terminate the participation of any individual who it believes has attempted to tamper with or impair Promotion administration, security, fairness, or proper play. Should the Promotion be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, notice may be posted at http://www.thesurfingpig.com/treasure.

 

Winner

The Winner of the Promotion shall be the individual that texts the number on the Key and provides proof of the key to the Surfing Pig. Promotional Period ends on August 31, 2023 at 5:00pm. If a Winner is not eligible to win or the Key is not located the prize will be forfeited and the Promotion will terminate.

 

Prizes

One winner will receive $5,000.00 in cash (the “Prize”). 

Prize winners are responsible for any expenses incurred in connection with the prizes. All federal, state and local taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner.  Prize details not set forth herein are the sole discretion of the Promotion Entities.

If requested, winners must execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release and (where legal) Publicity Release within three days of notification.  Failure to do so may result in disqualification, forfeiture, or award to alternate winner.

 

Release

By receipt of any prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless the Surfing Pig and its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, suppliers, and each of their respective parent companies and each such company’s shareholders, officers, directors, employees, members, assigns and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Promotion or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.

 

General Rules

Promotions are governed by and subject to the laws of the United States and the state of New Jersey.

All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law. Prize Winner may receive an IRS 1099 form for the value of their prizes. By participating in a Promotion and/or accepting any prize, entrants grant the Surfing Pig permission to use their name, likenesses, image and Twitter or Instagram handle in connection with the Promotion for purposes of advertising, publicity and promotion purposes, without further compensation to the entrant, unless prohibited by law. Entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the Surfing Pig, which are final and binding.  The Surfing Pig is not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the printing of the offer, administration of Promotion or the announcement of the prizes.

The Surfing Pig reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any entrant found to be (a) tampering or attempting to tamper with the Promotion or (b) violating the Official Rules.

 

Disputes/limitation of liability

Except where prohibited, as a condition of participating in Promotion, entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and all claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Promotion or any prize awarded, or the determination of winner shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action.  Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorneys’ fees, and entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased. Any and all damages alleged and/or claimed shall be limited to the amount of the Prize.

The Surfing Pig, and each of its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent corporations, and their respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, and agents, are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate Promotion information, theft, tampering, destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alternation of the Key; printing or other errors. The Surfing Pig reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Promotion if it desires. If the Promotion is terminated early, a notice will be provided on http://www.thesurfingpig.com/treasure at the time of termination.
